The most recent article I can find on the missionaries in russia is dated 7 march 2019. It said the missionaries would be free by end of the week.

10 days later I can't find any info. Was there an updare I missed?

best advice from me is:

check the SL papers.

If they haven't covered this, seems 2 possibilities:

- they're still there, but press blackout for negotiation reasons.

- They're home, (or different mish assignment) parents have asked for no publicity / privacy.

Maybe the SLT or DN reporter will answer your question.

On one hand, they feed the illusion that they are providing a pristine clear window on everything important that's happening in the world.

On the other hand, they collectively have the attention span of a gnat swarm.

There are very few (if any) dogged and determined investigative journalists who stay on a story and keep asking questions. Usually, all they do is get press releases handed to them by corporations, churches and governmental agencies, which they then rework into a "news article." If no new press releases are handed to them, the story just disappears....and they go looking for something interesting in the feeds provided by the newswire cartel (Reuters, AP, AFP and a few honorable mentions).

On this story, the last I could find on it was dated more than a week ago. Is there any indication that any reporters have been proactively assigned to the story? So far it looks like they've only assigned press release readers.

While the 15 fiddled in Rome and probably staying at the Hassler Hotel, two missionaries remain incarcerated in Russia.

Not the First Presidency's concern, evidently.

How deluded are members to still put up with the uncaring & demanding cult.

From what I've seen, the last good piece of information came out last Monday, via an Elder's P-day email blast to his 'subscribers.' So hopefully today's P-day emails will offer some more information.

Maybe you now have to search for "Volunteers for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"?

Me thinks getting a temple built in Russia is going to be delayed.

I can remember being in seminary and hearing the instructor go on about when the Soviet Union fell the people there would join the church in mass droves. Haha!!
