After I left the CULT I bought a shirt that had a picture of JS on it with multiple wives in Parairie dresses that said, "Joseph Smith Big Pimpin'c on it. My 15yo exmo son thought it was hillarious and wore it to JHS. I got a call from the Office Secretary at his school demanding I bring my Son an appropriate shirt. I asked what was inappropriate about his shirt?

I said, "He had 34 wives, 11 of whom were his followers wives and another 11 of whom were their teenage daughters. And they sing his praises. Now THAT's offensive!"
I touched a nerve. Apparently she was Mormon.
She threatened to suspend my Son. I said, "You're the Secretary. I hope you don't have the authority to kick my son out for exercising his freedom of speech!"
She appologized and asked me nicely to please bring my Son a different shirt and to not allow him to wear that shirt again as it was an attack on other people's faith.
I did. Even though I didn't agree, I just didn't want my Son to get hastled by MORmONs at school over a stupid t-shirt when he was supposed to be learning.
Now he is a teacher, in a foriegn country bc America's educational model is so fucked up!
