My sister has 3 children and lived in the mobile home park at USU when they were small. She hired the girls in the mobile home across the street to babysit. There were A LOT of children in the family and the mother was pregnant with another. Her youngest son told her what the 2 daughter babysitters did to them. He was 3. Her 5 and 6 year olds told her that he was correct. She went to the bishop and the bishop told her to let him handle it. Then the mother of the girls came over and blamed my sister's kids for wanting to do what they did and that her 11 and 13 year old girls only participated because my sister's kids forced them to.
No reporting to authorities was done. This was in about 1982.

I have no doubt that there are many, many cases like this. The LDS church may not be as adept at coverup as the Catholic church, but they indubitably have a LOT of skeletons in their closet.
