Three-Fisted ExMo Tales ~ “Y Troop, 2nd Apostate Air Cavalry Division”

Y Troop of the 2nd Apostate Air Cavalry Division had been ordered farther south ~

they were based just north of the narrow neck of land that led into the land southward which had been given unto the Lamanites ~

RfM Headquarters had issued orders that there would be a Truce of Peace with Lamanite and Morg forces ~

it was to be strictly observed the first Sunday of every month unless Apostate Forces were provoked or endangered ~

and it came to pass ~

on the very next first Sunday of the month ~

Commander Steve Benson called for a recon of the area of operation ~

Y Troop lifted off in formation and proceeded in a lazy zigzag pattern across the landscape at treetop level while looking out for anything out of the ordinary ~

it was a beautiful sunny day ~

the sun had already risen high in the east, but at this altitude, the air was still crisp and cold ~

the flying things that lived high in the trees maneuvered in beautiful formations of their own as the Apostate gun ships flew past ~

Alice Cooper tunes were bumping through the gun ship's communication system ~

otherwise the radio was quiet ~

there were no calls from any Apostate Units engaged with Lamanite or Morg forces or otherwise ~

the entire world seemed to be at peace in every respect ~

it was the first day in over a year that Y Troop of the 2nd Apostate Air Cavalry Division had not been attacked or initiated an attack upon hostile forces ~

after patrolling for a time and a half a time, Commander Steve Benson spotted a lone Morg warrior riding a curelom down a dirt road towards a small Lamanite village ~

the Morg warrior had his steel sword slung over his back and was using the curelom as a beast of burden to drag a sled filled with golden tablets ~

the Lamanite village was festively decorated with bright colored banners ~

the villagers were all dressed in beautiful white silk clothing decorated with colorful flowing ribbons ~

Commander Steve Benson hovered the heliocopter gunship around the Morg warrior even closing to within ten to twenty meters ~

but the Morg warrior just grinned and continued on his way until he was in the village square ~

the Morg warrior looked up and raised a lone middle finger in a mocking salute ~

Commander Steve Benson said, “In my opinion, that is sufficient provocation and endangerment.” ~

he shouted the order to his door gunner, “Zap him Ziller!” ~

ziller pressed the “send” button on the heliocopter’s weapons system ~

the Morg warrior, his weapon and his means of transport evaporated in a yellowish-greenish cloud of vapor amidst the gala-dressed inhabitants of the Lamanite village ~

the formation of Y Troop Apostate gun ships began immediately receiving intense hostile fire from Morg forces embedded and hidden in the area ~

it was like flying above an exploding Lamanite fireworks factory ~ (srs) ~

Y Troop withdrew without casualties and flew back to base thinking the whole time that they had broken the Truce of Peace ~

they did not know that the Lamanite and Morg forces had no intention of honoring it anyway ~

because of the Truce of Peace ~

the Lamanite and Morg warriors had taken the City of Teancum that same day with no resistance ~

but that is another story ~
