A book of flannel board stories. No not mormon or church related but anything with flannel boards brings back memories of primary and sunday school. Especially the one where you build a church with a foundation of apostles and profits and the yank the foundation off and the church crumbles.

Flanalografo, in Spanish. The best part of becoming a senior companion was never having to carry it around anymore.

The folded up flanalografo, in its sleeve, was useful in fending off dogs who wanted some of that American meat.

But then it was totally in the way when getting involved with street urchins and their soccer games, in which they made us look very, very foolish.

I still enjoy trying flanalografo five times, real fast.

I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

Did you buy it?

Yes. I bought it. It has all the patterns. The grandkids can color them.

Basically it is the Three Bears, Three Little Pigs, Little Red Hen etc

Ahhh, then for you it was a find!

Sweet. ❤️

Nice to be able to share that with your grandchildren and make new memories to cherish.

My great uncle wrote this "fictional case in point" about the SLC Temple being bombed and the only one of the 15 left is the most junior apostle.

LOL! I wonder if it wasn't a fantasy of his - that he would be called and make prophet before he died. His father was kicked out of the FP and basically ignored after being in it for McKay.

Yep, I guess that's a trigger.

Flannel boards used to be really big among Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers. I'm not sure how much they are in use anymore.

Summer, in Primary and Sunday School classes, Mormon children grew up with these flannel boards. They were "elementary." Teachers used them as part of their teaching materials in practically every lesson I can remember back in the day.

They were also interactive for the students to use.

I remember these too! My missionaries used them when I was doing the discussions.
I also remember the quiet books that all the kids seemed to have in sacrament meeting. Sacrament meeting was anything but quiet though.
I remember making them during homemaking meeting too.

They were used in other churches too. I remember them from pre=school through college and into early adulthood. I also remember 8-track taped, film strips and the wonder of the "new" carousel slide projector.
