NYU President John Sexton has written a book “Baseball as a Road to God.” That works for me. I can eat a hot dog and drink a beer during worship. Beats Mormonism.

Maybe you have to play baseball though? In which case no hot dog! No beer!

You can stay home and watch it on television. Or listen on the radio if you prefer.

The rules don't make sense, and the umpire moves in mysterious ways

It involves people running around to get back where they started so I suppose it qualifies as a religion.

Does it have baseball for the dead? That would be a field ready to harvest.

Funny, the Mormons thought that exact same thing long before Field of Dreams. But they lie in wait to force their funny underwear upon the dead in their prayer circles of jerks.

May I make a confession here, as a long-time adherent to the religion of Donald Hall?

I switched teams. I am unfaithful. I'm guilty, but I'm not sorry. Sorry.

Long-time Tigers fan, since discovering in a stolen Baseball almanac that the Tigers won the world series on the year I was born. I was ten years old. Also, I liked the lore around Ty Cobb.

I enjoyed 1984 with great gusto. I was saddened and embarrassed about the brooms in 2012.

Two years ago, I switched my attention to the enemy of all adherents to the religion of Donald Hall. Yes, I went to the dark side, the death star of Major League Baseball. A guy named Judge lured my away and made me unfaithful. I'm sorry. I know, I suck.

Human, Go Yankees!!!!!!!!

Baseball players have no morals; they’re always stealing bases.
They should start wearing magic underwear under their uniforms to protect them. They wouldn’t have to wear jock straps anymore.
I don’t think they’ll be dumb enough to try it though.
