I think he meant the women should consult their bishops to determine what they need to repent of.

I don't remember who gave the talk in conference, but when I heard him state that victims of sexual abuse needed to meet with their bishops to determine if they were in part responsible for being abused and if they needed to enter the repentance process I turned off the TV and never watched or listened to conference again.

Add the latest confirmation that bishops need to discuss sexual matters with children and that is all I need to know that the church condones, supports and approves sexual abuse.

I clearly remember it because I was serving a mission and we were co-teaching a single lady with a combination of sister missionaries and the senior missionary couple. It was the senior missionary couple that had picked up this lady to travel to a stake center and she heard it and other boring talks. I have long suspected that Scott's talk (and it made me feel uncomfortable as well) played a role in her decision to drop us (the missionaries) like a hot potato.

Agreed, but singing their praises and naming universities after rapists just normalizes rape CULTure.

The words of Richard Scott in GC are dispicable, plus the tone of his voice and his judging facial expression creates a package of satan himself standing at the podium.

A church that would let this message be delivered is anything but kind and loving of people and what they experience.

Thanks for posting this site as I am glad I was able to hear Scott present this "loving" message myself. I plan on not forgetting it and passing it on whenever appropriate to demonstrate the "love" that permeates in this evil church.
