I found an interesting letter on reddit who's author claims to be a current apostle. Thoughts?

Unfortunately, I’m too full of McBoners. What I need is a side of fries right now.

It starts off well, but when it goes into Fawn Brodie etc, the writer manages to lose the original writing style.

It is almost certainly a hoax.

There’s no way a TBM would believe it even if you could get them to read it. Suppose it is legitimate. Lots of early apostles fell away. When that happens, they’re “in Satan’s power” so why would they be taken seriously?

It screams "fake" from beginning to end. Everything there is common knowledge to exmos. And if it were an actual apostle, you'd think he would at least mention his second anointing.

He acknowledges the eventual fallout once his ID is known. But still, the anonymity doesn't make sense. If he's afraid of the consequences, then don't publish at all.

Some of the language, too… "The jig is up." (p. 13) Really?

Using actual church letterhead would have helped its credibility. Apostles have access to reams of that stuff. But no, just text.

It's as real as a Kinderhook plate or a Kirtland Safety Society promissory note.

It's fake. Anyone could have written it. Without a name and a person who stands behind it publicly, it's less credible than the anonymous posts here on RFM. At least no one here on RFM claims to be on the church's payroll.

Some of the people here think I am on the Moscow, Russia stake leadership, or should I say Moskva, Rossiya, Shtyek Lyedirshchip?

It's like those so-called eSSayS.

NO Name
NO Date
NO TRUTH

Like all of LDShood-
Mormonism is a NO NO
NOTHING is in it
No POSSIBILITIES
Just Damnation
And No, No, No

No nothing!
Know Nothing
