His mother was on the news last night and said they had moved there from somewhere like Georgia and he had been having a difficult time making friends. He at first didn't put root on the sign and the cop told him it might help. It seemed at least most people were enjoying the whole situation and giving him a lot of business.

That reminds me of a cartoon in the New Yorker many years ago.
