"A Nebraskan woman has decried a Spider-Man art statue as “demonic” and “anti-Christian” because she believes it to be representative of the Devil.

I'm sure she also considers red lady bugs with black spots Satanic because, well, those are devil colors. Also cucumbers are Satanic because Satan gives her nasty thoughts.

Word is that after visiting a local petting zoo, the woman was seen running out the front gates exclaiming, "The devil is in the zoo, the zoo is of the devil..the goat is processed...he has horns like the devil and is saying things like 'bad' 'bad'.."

I'm not keen on this particular phrase, as it has become a mantra to enable censorship of smaller news outlets... However, this story either involves an attention seeker, or someone is embellishing a story (which journalists frequently do). If you want eccentrics who make outlandish claims, they are a dime a dozen - people who think the world is ruled by bird-beings, or that Jesuits run the Mormon church and the JWs, or that the bull statue outside Wall Street is a golden calf (the last one is vaguely plausible.)
