This is my first post so be kind:) I must be in the minority because one of my huge issues is NOT wearing garments. I find them to be extremely comfortable and seem to chafe all over if I don't wear them.

Does anyone else have this problem? I am what you would considered to be a hefty gentleman so my fat isn't helping. Undershirts are fine but nothing matches the garment bottoms. I have tried boxers etc but can't find anything that feels as comfortable to me. I have just been wearing my old garments but I am hoping to find a replacement that feels as comfortable.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you will need to experiment to find what is comfortable.

We have had several posters come and go who found garments comfortable and kept wearing them, so you are not the only one. You could always tie dye them!

Welcome first time poster! This place is guaranteed to make you think. You need thick skin but be prepared for plenty of loud laughter!

(Love your moniker)

something to replace them, but I eventually did. I just got too used to them. It was because of the garments I ended up on this board and I talked to my exmo therapist about not wearing them and he told me to come here.

If I were you, I'd keep wearing them if you find them more comfortable. I couldn't take wearing the extra layer as I am always warm, very seldom wear a coat in the winter, and summer was intolerable in garments. It still is.

Welcome to the board.

I wore the bottoms forever after I left. Finally found some underwear with a longer leg.

The tops of course are just t shirts.

My hubby is a big guy. He never believed and hasn't been to church in decades.

He wears garms to this day.

I did trim the bottoms so they never hang out of his shorts.

I don't know what he'll do when his source, his mom, dies.

He'll deal.

It really is just underwear.

Boxer briefs. It's the only answer, and a damned good one.

Try Duluth Trading Company. They have shorts in all kinds of lengths and fabrics (and large waist sizes).

I appreciate all of the responses. I just ordered some long legged boxer shorts to try out.

I don't feel guilty wearing garments but I am just at the stage where I am getting up the gumption to send in my resignation letter and am trying to decide whether to hit Deseret book for a lifetime supply of garment bottoms before I do. The tops don't worry me at all.

I found the things to be outrageously uncomfortable, but if I actually liked them, I would wear them with no feelings of guilt whatsoever.

Try Duluth Free Range Cotton Boxer Briefs

Extremely comfortable - far superior to any LDS garment bottoms ever made

All kinds of waist sizes and 3 leg lengths - I like the extra long because I love the feel of the super-soft comfortable cotton on my legs.

94% ultra-soft organic cotton - 6% spandex knit to add a little "stretch" - the waistband is comfortable and seems to hold up well with numerous washes

"close-to-the-body fit" should eliminate chafing for most men

I switched to Calvin Klein white boxer briefs and undershirts. A bit pricey but I like them much better than magic undies.

Boxer briefs are good. Especially athletic ones with moisture wicking properties. Much better than G's.

I know what you mean

I went to JOCKEY Midway boxer Briefs. Almost an exact match for the Garment bottoms so damn comfortable,

Silk undergarments can help with that transition.
I loved "wintersilks"

I googeled "long men's underwear". Many options popped up.

The best replacement for holy temple garments would be enlightenment.

I'm with you Don. I hated my garments especially when it was

summer time and I was pregnant.

I WILL NEVER MISS GARMENTS !!!!!!!

It's too hot just now, but long johns are really good in winter. Long underwear really helps to keep you warm.

Boxing shorts are also good.

Don't recommend anything tight - that will lower your masculinity.
