>>“The Cooper’s Ferry site contains the earliest radiocarbon-dated archaeological evidence in the Americas,” said Oregon State University anthropology professor Loren Davis, who led the study published in the journal Science.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meadowcroft_Rockshelter>>Radiocarbon dating of the site indicated occupancy beginning 16,000 years ago and possibly as early as 19,000 years ago. However, the dates are still controversial.
The article gives Cooper's Ferry dates as around 16,000 years ago.
I'm still waiting for someone to answer the DNA questions raised by the Anzick Clovis child site. That individual belonged to a population proven to be ancestral to all Native Americans in both North and South America, and that date is around 12,000 years ago.
In the meantime, I suggest those who "insist" on earlier dates and the "Coastal Migration Hypothesis" review the temperatures in the North Pacific around the Aleutians and the coast of British Columbia.
Honest, it's mighty cold up there, folks, and it always has been.
