A friend who writes a lot of Mormon related books and occasionally writes editorial type articles on Mormonism that have been well written and excellent for the SLTrib sent me a book that may interest some here.

"Breaking the Promise of the Promised Land" by Johnny Townsend.

This is an excerpt:

"But when Mormons tired of being "a peculiar people" and chose to side with the most repressive evangelicals, they chose to make America the land of the imprisoned, poor, and oppressed. While declaring their allegiance to the Prince of Peace, they've chosen to support policies that have kept America at war almost non-stop for the last six decades."

I find this to be a good summary of what we talk about when we discuss latter day Mormons of 2019 and thought this book might interest some here--although I haven't had a chance to read much of it yet.

No kidding. :)

This book is about Mormons joining forces with the religious right--you know, the churches that God said drew near to him with their lips but their hearts were far from him-- and embracing everything about those devil infiltrated churches that they used to distance themselves from. Just thought it might be of interest to some here.

While mormons are the majority in Utah (which makes them relevant, here), they are in the minority everywhere else, mostly less than 1.5% East of Colorado and 0.75% or less in most States East of the Mississippi. Outside of a few Rocky Mountain states, mormonism is irrelevant in America. As it should be.

That goes without saying. Here. But thanks for the update anyway.
