I have to go with "both in on it together." Just as a very loving Heavenly Father and Lucifer pranked Job with plagues of boils, killed his animals and all his sons and daughters just to settle a fun bet, Jesus and Satan made a bet on how many Mormons would search the bushes for cans of beer that didn't burst and slip them into their pockets. Who says they can't be fun?
