Depending on the times of ordination, & his crimes, Could Be another discernment FAILure.

We all wish these things were rare or non-existent, Mormons or
other people.

this seems like such a dumb thing for someone to do. Really stupid, actually.

who sit and judge in "courts of love"...also known as church excommunication proceedings.

"Hello, Brother Fox. Yes, we are calling you to be in charge of guarding the hens on our chicken ranch."

"I won't you let you down, President Coyote. You know how much I care about the well being of our hens."

Am I recalling correctly that he was just there to pick up his son, at the end of the boy’s mission?

If he gets to go home to Utah, who the hell monitors him and his obedience to the strictures of his parole?

similar interstate agreements are fairly common for less-serious (non-violent) crimes/offenses, even some a notch above; if U were living in KY, wouldn't U rather these ppl be sent out-of-state?

Well, when you frame it like that ...

I don’t know much about this case. Was he doing this all the time and just got caught? ,or was it this one time, like stalking that particular woman? Looks like a creep. Maybe this was a last resort attempt out the church and his callings, to be excommunicated, in a sick, perverted way.
Don’t think he’ll risk jail though doing that. I hope his wife leaves him

Maybe someone else can find a link for you. I'm waiting for my work to sign in (I've had a hell of a time getting the remote window to work today) and just passing by.

His wife tried to talk the woman out of reporting him.

When this happened John Dehlin contacted or was contacted by several people in this guy's wards, stakes and businesses. According to the info Dehlin dug up, this guy has been accused of sexual harassment and fired from jobs previously and several members reported inappropriate behavior while he was bishop and high councilman. His wife seems to support his bad behavior.

Yup. She obviously wasn't shocked by the episode, nor outraged, nor incredulous: her immediate reaction to the accusation was to urge the woman not to report the event to the police.

An enabler, she was and is.

I think it's very common for members to expect other members to excuse bad behavior, especially if they are in leadership callings. I can only imagine that this pervert probably has other issues (porn, sexual fetishes, he might be a cross-dresser- you never know) that the church would be alarmed.

When I've shared some of my pitiful memories of Brother Blowhard, an overbearing youth leader, my Mom barely acknowledges that many of his shenanigans crossed the line. In the end, she strongly asserts "but he meant well in teaching you and he has a wonderful voice. All those harmonic solos were lovely."

Plus he's repented! In less than a glaring light, the putty he put into the nail hole probably won't show.
