Do some people not have a conscience when it comes to passing on beliefs to their children?

A woman I know once made her living as a "psychic" where she channeled the past lives (as in reincarnation) of her clients.

She has now turned back to her Mormon beliefs and is teaching her child that we have 2 lives, one now, and the other one after resurrection.

I think most people pass on their beliefs to their children which is why religions continue to be a thing. Personally, I think it would make more sense to pass on critical thinking skills.

I think it is important to distinguish between different ways of thinking:

1. Scientific facts - using logic, reasoning, measurement of the material world.
2. Belief - filling in the gaps where science has not yet figured out.

I think there is room for both in our world.

I think there are more than two ways of thinking in the world.

The Mormon child indoctrination program is abuse. Later on, the child will have to change with the church. Doctrine changes, faster and faster now. How long was "Mormon" a bad word? I remember believers posting online that they were suddenly offended by the word. Now that's over. What next?

Children are being programmed for a lifetime of abject obedience. Their cosmologies will be controlled from Mormon headquarters. What they call belief has no conscience.
