Nothing infuriates me more than a church that has made an empire of money, tears, dead bodies and heartbreaks through lies, suddenly making claims of being misrepresented.
There is a special kind of abuse that the church is built on an that is "misrepresentation".
The entire set up is thrust upon unsuspecting victims without proper consent.
When you joined, did you know about the hundred+ billions sitting there? Did you know that the temple ceremony would make you promise, at the pain if death, complete obedience and financial servitude for the eternities? Did you know that GAs get paid? that they get book deal, chauffeurs, vacations?
Did you know about the MMM, BY's sordid history. About Fanny and the barn. Did you know about the Egyptian scrolls or about the treasure digging. Did you know about the BOM changes?
Did you know when you were 8 years old about the hundreds of other facts that would prove it all to be a lie when you consented to follow forever, no matter what?
Nope. Neither did I.
The church, from Smith to the commitment pattern to the temple to Ensign peak it a carefully build machine whose only purpose is to misrepresent. To lie and wait to deceive until they have your life in a jar. Then, invoking faith, you cant get out.
It is a life-long, soul-crushing trap. No giving proper consent is what evil does.
Now, again, they get caught in a lie and they yell fake news!
They don't want people to put together the obvious: Rich, tax-free men travel in first class to dirt-poor countries, get in a lime, go to their first class hotel and then they hold a meeting promising people who make less than a dollar a day that, if they pay a full 10% of that money, first and foremost, God will give them jobs and food and make them prosper. Some of them choose which days their kids will not eat in order to show their faith. While the gentleman drives off to report his success to the pigs sitting on one hundred billion that have an on-call chef, that all went well. They don't need to have faith, they have billions. They don't need to sacrifice it all and hope God will help them, they help themselves. They don't need miracles and humiliating poverty to prove their worth. they got BILLIONS. Hundreds of BILLIONS.
Now, they clutch their pears and cry misrepresentation, victimhood, once again, misrepresenting the facts and the situation.
