Attended a ward last week with lady friend who is TBM. They released all young peoples leaders plus Sunday school leaders and teachers. Many were called back into new positions. Like teachers and teachers now have 5 to 6 adult advisors or specialists. My friend told me this was due to new youth program starting Jan 1. All I saw was the chairs being rearranged. 5 or 6 advisors for Deacons and 5 or 6 advisors for Teachers and Priests too. Talk about over kill.

My friend then told me on way out that no one has time anymore to meet and greet with new 2 hour block and only 30 minutes between blocks. Members have to clear buildings fast as they try to get all 3 wards cleared out by 2 PM.

They were handing out the Come Follow me Books for new year to members. I saw what seemed to be a regular Christian Church meetings were members come for meeting and then leave.

There seems to be no fellowship today in the Church like there was in the olden days.

My friend also told me how women are now being told they have Priesthood power because they get that when they are called and set apart to a position in the Church. She told me this has come about from the writings of Wendy and Sheri. And she sees this a a major step in the right direction. It makes my head swim trying to figure that one out. I have never heard men talking about Priesthood Power like the women are today.

Clearly things are shifting and I think the church is going to become a nothing burger under Russ. And it won't ever be like it was in late 60's to 80's with great growth, strong families joining etc., no matter what they do.

No more growth and even the church can not easily explain their lies and deceptions.

Five or six deacon and teacher advisors? I imagine there are quite a few deacon and teacher quorums that don't have that many members!

As for the women being told they have priesthood power, I've been claiming for some time that the Q15 were going to slowly fold women into priesthood function. They have to because some women will rebel and leave otherwise, and they need to open up ward callings to women or they will have to start closing wards because of insufficient numbers in leadership positions. Having to close wards scares them more than women in authority.

When you lack meat and potatoes, you have to add more broth to the soup to have enough to go around. ...pero caldo no mas no alimenta!

Rusty. I wonder how Oaks feels about that. If they are going to change the church, it shouldn't be because of these 2 women. Let's see what happens after Rusty dies off.

Wendy will pull a coup. Become prophet and then marry Sheri Dew in the temple.

Russ gets a lot of praise from the LDS ladies because he does tend to treat women more as equals than the former LDS prophets did. But then look who Russ is married to. Wendy keeps him in line. Russ is just a stuffed suit. Wendy is the real prophet. Haha!

Women have LDS Priesthood power today about as much as Africans and African Americans had in 1977. They can enter a temple and do stuff there but that doesn't mean much other than they are needed for "forever families" manufacturing.

Brigham and Elvis died 100 years apart with rampant racism still in force and no Mormon woman has caught a rabbit yet.

It's only limit is the imagination of the holder.

Most Mormons' imagination is limited by what the Mormon leaders tell them.

As long as they were told that they could not hold the imaginary power, they believed that they could not...and when they thought they needed some benefit from the imaginary power they had to ask people who were "given" the imaginary power to exercise the imaginary power for them.

Now, maybe they can exercise their own imaginary power. It still has to be "given" to them when they are called to a certain calling and it only applies to that certain calling. That's what they are told and they'll believe it because they have no imagination.

No imagination + imaginary power = a whole trainload of nothing.

It's hard to believe that they're still getting so much mileage out of the imaginary power gimmick.

"Hey, ladies! Want some imaginary power? The Church leaders now say that you can have some. Isn't that great!! Now you can exercise imaginary power just like Brother Schlubbens over in the next pew. Just don't forget your vial of olive oil."

I believe it is a bit more complicated. Women in Mormonism are too pure for priesthood power.

I overheard a Stake President pontificating about Profit Nelson and how the church is expecting 70 million member growth in 10 years due to all the morons in 3rd countries obviously without tools to find out that the church is bogus and corrupt.

I laughed to myself about how ridiculous that sounded. I'm friends with the SP and did not want his bubble to burst but let him come to his on conclusion on that one.

They'll need that 100 billion for the people he is telling to pay tithing who don't have it when they ask for financial help (not like they'll get any).

Rusty himself told the BYU crowd in 1989 about tremendous growth about to occur in Russia. Sure some people forgot his hoopla, but the missionaries who went to Russia post 1990 came home discouraged with few faith promoting stories.

They weren't anywhere close.
