A short short time ago
I can still remember now
That word used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I would make those Mormons blanch
And maybe I'd be happy for a while
But October '18 made me shiver
With every label I'd deliver
Mad Mormons on my doorstep
I couldn't take one more correct
I can remember why I didn't sigh
When I read this widower Mormon deride
Something touched me deep inside
The day the Mormon died
So
Bye, bye fabled Mormon Pie (and beer)
Stole a heavy from my history but my history was a lie
And them bad old men are counting money so wry
Speaking all about Jesus before they die
Christ'll be there the day that they die
Joe did write their book of love
And they have faith in God above
The Golden Bible tells them so
Do you believe a word takes a toll?
Can Mormon curse your mortal soul?

I never liked mormon pie.

I do like chocolate chip cookies and beer. Seriously. I don't dunk them in it, but I like the cookie flavor washed down with a nice domestic beer.

Does "Domestic" mean the beer is housebroken?

No, it means they happily stay in the refrigerated corral I have in my garage, and they are very tame, like to be picked up and handled, they even let me put my mouth on theirs!

Now if I could only to get my stock to breed, I would never have to go the store to replenish the herd. Do you think a bottle of wine, candles, and a Barry Manilow album would help?

Do you ever give them the tongue?

No. but I let them deposit all their bodily fluids in my mouth.....and I swallow.

Because it lacked real flavor?

Yes, and because it was force fed to me everyday, and it always left me feeling empty inside and wanting something else with more nutritional value.

It seems some are missing the import of Elder Berry's post. It's a takeoff of "Bye Bye Miss American Pie" by Don McLean.

The day "The Mormons" died -> Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018

"Don't make me come down there and kick you out for saying Mormon."

It seems one is missing the sarcasm, innuendo, and fun we're having with this post about a takeoff of the song.

What do you have against Barry Manilow anyway?!

Barry Manilow is what happened the day after the music died.

For god so loved the world, he sent his only piano playing son.
