Problem is, usually the Olive Oil is a blend, not Pure. Every time I sat in a Priesthood meeting where they went over Blessing the sick and they consecrated the bottle of Oil so one and all could fill the little bottles and key chain vials - I pointed out they were not using Pure Olive Oil - but a blend. The handbook said "pure" - not mixed with canola, sunflower, safflower, avocado, etc. Pure oil.

No wonder blessings don't work when right at the outset those in charge see what is told them and won't even follow simple directions and get pure oil. If it makes a difference in cooking - it damned sure must make a difference in blessing.

When the church gets hit by the virus they will have no excuse.

Of course, they will crow about all of the people who miraculously survived. They will claim that priesthood blessings and faith saved them. The people who died would not have had it any other way.

But it’s the true church. That means they are safe. Besides, priesthood blessings work if you believe. So they should be in good shape as long as they believe their own sh*t and don’t look at porn. No need to cancel meetings. I don’t know how much that will slow down the virus.
