on my hands than the soap and water, and I have to put bandages on my fingertips so the cracks won't keep getting worse. I've used liquid bandages, but I wash my hands so much that it all washes off.
I don't wear contacts thank goodness. I wear glasses because my eyes are too sensitive.
I've been having the same problem, and hand cream really does help. In a way, it's slightly better now that the company I work at shut down, as the soap they have in the bathrooms really dries out the skin.
Same for me - until I went back to normal, old-fashioned soap (probably with olive oil, as I'm in France) but also much less harsh than liquid soaps and hand sanitizers (which are of course also less effective at removing the virus...).
Also, to mend my hands I used (and am still using) plain vaseline. It works and it doesn't smell, unlike most hand creams ;-)
my thumbs especially still crack. I put a lot of Neosporin on them and they at least aren't extremely painful now. Blue emu really makes my skin a lot softer, but I don't know if it is because of my typing and washing that it cracks like it does.
I used Noxema as a vehicle for alcohol. A little soupy with the proportions I used, but wonderful hand sanitizer if you’re away from soap and water. Hands feel great.
Good dermatological cream like E45 is good, but if you start getting dermatitis or eczema then buy some hydrocortisone cream over the counter - sorts my hands out when this happens.
