From my take on things, growing up during GC, my parents never made us watch and my dad didn't watch. I think there will be plenty of families who don't watch. If God needed all the missionaries home, why didn't he bring them ALL home?
missionaries could be at home with their families for conference, that they'd still be in quarantine, and then all families could be together for conference streaming it and so more families than ever before in history would be watching conference together, that the stay at home mandate had made it possible for everyone to read their scriptures and pray and contemplate the importance of this conference and that maybe the Holy Ghost would touch them. I wonder if it is still on my boyfriend's fb message. Let me see if I can dig it up somewhere. I thought it was horrible.

It basically said God provided this virus at this time so the mormons could be prepared for GC. Amazed at how many agreed and shared it, and stated they had been thinking the same thing.

Oh my gosh! That’s as bad as the woman with the writing on the back window of her vehicle that said that God created the Coronavirus so her missionary could come home early! The brainwashing runs very deep.
The floods, the first borns, the Egyptians, Laban, and even Jesus. And now this, so many suffering and dying just so the missionaries can come home for conference. Who says Mormon Heavenly Father isn't loving?
Others try to catch up but no one is ever going to beat that record. Guinness Book of World records stuff, right there!
Ask Elder Berry if all his daughters have come home. I guess those missionaries aren't as special.
And per John Dehlin on fb, the state department requested that they change the requirements for the missionaries returning any time in the near future. I assume the state dept had to do a lot of work to get those kids home.
