Every time someone of notoriety passes, Marie Osmond takes the opportunity to promote her self via some past relationship with them. Every. Single. Time. She is an expert at this self-promotion which I identify as a particularly salient characteristic of Mormons in general.

My rant for the day.

For what it's worth, I actually like to separate "self" from his, her, or my--- for semantic reason's. Same meaning from a different angle---the self separated from the being.

Why would anyone choose to be the grammar police on a forum dedicated to recovery from religious abuse unless that person were trying to alienate others? I just don’t it.

I get that they are self-ish.

The OP was pointing out a typo of their own and not grammar policing. And the D&D guy was just saying he likes to see variations on a theme and not policing either.

I don't get where the grammar police would come in here unless they were policing your "I just don't it." :)

Most of Einstein's cousins are that way.

The thing about Einstein's cousins is they never shut up.

Just look at the two you!

I hope you two are ashamed of your selves...

It's not just Einstein's cousins who never shut up.

Like snakes onto the middle of a two-lane on a hot desert night.

She's only doing what is done in the temple except there people promote Mormonism with the dead person's future relationship with it.

The Osmonds know and have known a LOT Of people through their Children’s Miracle Network Telethons and stadium shows. Is expressing sorrow for the loss of someone they know “name dropping”?

Then yes, it is.

If when someone passes you don't merely post a photo of them and pay them homage but insist on using their death as a way to say what a good "friends" you are then, yes, it is.

The Osmonds always seemed like they never left the stage to me. They seemed canned and fake both on and off stage.

Mike Norton gets upset with my remarks about the plastic queen. I make fun of his bad taste.

The poor woman: raised in a superficial church, surrounded by superficial people, trained in a superficial profession, still living a superficial life. At some point the plasticity of it all, the unsubstantiality, must make for a largely barren existence.

I wouldn't want to live that way.

Sounds as if nothing else important is going on in her life so she lives through other dead celebrities.

Seriously how goofy is that? Dropping dead celebrity names.
Almost as bad as missionary discussion rumors.

So what some one had a conversation with a door to door salesman?
Or in this case, met someone they worked with at an event? They weren't good friends or anything. Else she would have been by their deathbed.

If only she was as good at dropping pounds as dropping dead celebrity names then Weight Watchers might mean something.
