I'm considering taking it up again. I love the masks that show people's favorite football teams, for example! Make a personal statement for pity'sake! Make some FUN ones!

It's not like there aren't some fun ones out there!

Show your school spirit! Or your favorite pet! We have lots of waYS TO GET CREATIVE!

Good for you! Were my wife still alive she'd have exhausted her massive fabric stash sewing masks and been begging the fabric store to open just for her to buy more.

You can never have too much fabric :) That is a horrible myth men made up :P And besides, once something is gone you can't get more so you better get while the getting is good. Yeah, you buy that right?

My wife has sewn just over 3000 masks since mid March, and gives them away for the most part. She does not ask for donations, just for people to pay it forward.

We exhausted all her personal stash of fabric and elastic a long time ago. And have used donated fabric scraps and the donated cash to buy more fabric and elastic.

One of the women I work with made up a bunch of masks on her sewing machine. I got one with cows and chickens on it.

use different fabrics on seperate sides of the mask so the wearer knows which side goes "out" if they have to take it off. it helps

A friend whipped me up a couple with Hawaiian prints she got on our trip in March. We left Maui right as it was shutting down.

I've been feeling the same way. By the way, I was at Wal-Mart on Friday, and two aisles worth of fabric rolls were pretty much wiped out. Home sewing is on the rise!

It is hard to find an entry level machine right now too.

My daughter in law expressed an interest in taking up sewing again so I gave her my wife's new machine, all the fabric and everything else sewing related to her. The irony is, she's a nurse, working the front line so hasn't had time to sew anything.

That was a really nice thing to do, LR. My mom's machine went to my sister-in-law. I have my own.
