It isn’t the first time a bunch of frat guys came down with the same disease.

I somehow think that covid kills more often than VD.

This is from summer school (from fraternity houses supposedly at reduced capacity.) IMO it's a preview of what we can expect in the fall. If I were a parent, I would strongly advise my child to do online learning only at home, or take a gap year.

Perhaps, but I've a couple of mine spent months in lockdown and grew depressed. They wanted, and we supported, their going back to school, where they are still basically in lockdown, wearing masks, testing, and doing classes online. The result? They bear slightly higher risk but are not looking longingly at liquor stores.

Just like the non mask wearers in Florida ?

Overall, I think the residents of Washington State have done a very good job of avoiding the CV, thanks in part to the leadership of Gov. Inslee.

I agree with you, but I have to question the wisdom of the University of Washington running in-person summer school. I also think this throws the fall term into question.

Frats are year-around regardless of enrollment, UW isn't having classes as far as I know...

Oh, I had no idea. My brother was in a fraternity, but he used to come home on summer breaks.

It looks like UW is doing remote learning right now, and is planning on going to a blended model in the fall.

So what's the problem?

Young people don't die often, and we need them to become immune so no longer a threat to more vulnerable.

What is the alternative, eternal lockdown?

How many millions will need to die before we reach your mythical "herd immunity" ?
