It is blowing up here in Coeur d'Alene. We went from barely nothing to 700+ cases in the last two weeks.

Boy, you guys were late bloomers, but once you got going, hell on wheels!

I have a friend in Billings, and they just had 66 cases in a nursing home or some such.

ETA: just looked at Utah. The other day I said they were about to go off the graph scale, which ends just below 1,000 new cases a day. Today they reported 850 cases, swamping the previous record. I give us 2 weeks and we'll be at 1,000+ new cases a day.

Glad the border here is still closed but some Americans have told Canadian border guards they were headed for Alaska but then veered off course and were caught sightseeing in Banff and fined.

Bunker Boy was right. We're sick (literally) and tired of winning. It's too much winning and we can't take it any more.

Canada has crossed my mind. I am oh so close but its probably hard to become a citizen. Its got to be better in canada. At least in my mind i imagine it to be quite peaceful there. How many wars has canada even been in? Like one? I am actually not sure. And everyone gets healthcare no questions asked. Now that is impressive.

Anyways it does seem like an overall more peaceful mentality up there. I could be wrong though. Only been there once and for not very long.

As an Idaho resident, I just hope the person who determined that growth is a good thing falls victim. Around Boise farm land is being chewed up for new homes at an alarming rate. Not far from where I live a mammoth Amazon facility is set to open in the Fall and we are told that the roads around it ((also a shopping and restaurant area) will see an increase of 2,000 vehicle trips per day. Growth and quality of life are not necessarily synonymous.

Up here in North Idaho (Coeur d'Alene) there is literally NO ENFORCEMENT of any of the covid protocols. I'm in downtown CDA and everyone is outside in swimsuits on the crowded sidewalks just enjoying the day. Restaurants are crammed and some of the bars are open. Lots of boats in the lake. No one is paying attention to the 1000% increase in cases just in Kootenai County.
