This video is so sad what Al posted.

Yes she is a Mormon celebrity she speaks to groups of people she even has a book "The Tattooed Mormon". But she does not have pioneer blood, she is not a descendant of Joseph smith. To "fit in" a specific assigned ward to do visiting teaching excuse me "ministering" with an assigned friend to an assigned friend. I felt that the church always wanted more. Once husband and I got called into the bishops office and the bishop thanked us for paying our tithing and in the next sentence asked us if we could increase our tithing. We were barely making our house payments and paying our bills money was very tight at the time. There is so much that I would like to tell Al as an older sister who was a member for 33 years. The church is false takes away your money and time. There are wonderful people inside the church so are wonderful people outside the church. Who wants to fit in a man made religion that is about investments and following wrong prophets? No religion is needed to donate money to a good cause or to help someone in need. I can have tattoos or no tattoos it does not change my heart. During a pandemic have members tell another member that god doesn't love them is cruel. The church is concerned about masturbation and pornography and paying tithing but that members are making each other cry is a normal occurrence.I rather watch rated R movies and say a bad word here and there than making people cry over nothing and being "perfect" in the church's eyes because I follow their rules. Sorry rant is over. Enjoy your weekend.

”Celebrity" can be intoxicating!!

She'd have to give up "Celebrity" and just be a person! OMG!!!

Wow! She's changed. She's not aged badly at all, that's not what I mean, but she's changed. I suppose she's come to see the practical side of Mormonism as opposed to the ideal side.

I guess that happens with everything. You enter a movement with bright eyes and a bushy tail, filled with idealism. A few years down the line, you find the others are just as cynical as the folks you thought you left behind.

In some ways, I have a soft spot for Al. I haven't followed anything she's done for a long time, but she seemed like the type of Mormon I could relate to. She seemed real to me, authentic, someone who had sacrificed a lot. I've never really been a fan of tattoos but I liked that aspect because I had friends who were converts and had them. In some ways they proved she had another life.

I genuinely feel sorry for her. She seems a good soul. She doesn't deserve to be treated like this after all she left behind.
