The Mormons in my sphere are constantly posting "family oriented" photos. I'm noticing one pose in particular, and intensified today by an over-the-top instance of it.
Todays' photo has three "adult" men in it, and a dozen or so kids. Each man is on one knee, half-turn to the right, with their right arm around at least two of the smallest children, and left hand pressed against the chest of the closest. They're each flanked by medium sized kids, and the biggest kids are closely pressed in from behind. All are in white shirts and ties, down to the smallest child.
There are no women in the photo, except for somebody's great nana who's framed through the window behind them (apparently they've been to visit).
It's like it's not enough to make a photo, or to be there in the moment. They have to pose as if they are actively "dad"-ing while the photo is taken. And this time it's all three men at the same time. In exactly the same pose!
Nana appears to be [understandably] ecstatic to be receiving such a visit, but the men just look ridiculous to me.
