It's 90 degrees here today and the weather report is calling for a winter storm warning tomorrow for here in El Paso county Colorado.
5 to 6 inches of snow for the northern part of the county. I was thinking that fall didn't start for another two weeks.

Not to worry. It's just Mother Nature giving you a two by four upside the head to get your attention. Autumn will resume Thursday. Minus garden tomatoes.

It’s over 90 degrees where I am right now, and the forecast low tomorrow is 25 (not to mention all of the snow). Any other time of my life, I would be freaked out by the change, but it’s 2020, so it’s just par for the course.

I felt the same way about this weather forecast for Utah. Well, that is par for the course for 2020.


Our next door neighbors are frantically trying to get the outside of their house painted....with a paintbrush no less....before this wind and storm comes in. Good luck with that.

It was 97 here Friday and then the cold front hit yesterday..will go down to 34 tonight...and then warm up...oh and there was snow 60 miles west

I have a vague memory of snow.Of course if it doesn't occur in Tuscaloosa it really isn't important.

There's probably snow up on old Pikes Peak. I was camping in Pitkin county a few weeks ago and there was still snow on Mt. Sopris.

The mountains surrounding Orem Utah got snow last night.

Colorado is known for wild weather gyrations, but this is extreme even by Colorado standards.

I'm very glad to be living here (Sequim, WA), our weather is very moderate. We don't have much rain bc we're in a 'rain shadow' caused by the Olympic Mountains.
It's not too much a pain to go to Seattle for concerts, specialty medical care, etc.

I got 3 inches of snow. Storm was underwhelming.

That's 'P.C.' (pre-covid). This is D.C. (during covid). Things - including seasons - will return to normal in A.C. (after covid), if that ever happens.

I didn't think it snowed in the summertime either... UNLESS you are in the Wyoming Montana Colorado quadrant.

Friends in North Dakota tell me their State record is 103 to freezing on the same day.

They also tie for 5th place with Kansas for the all time High temperature in a State at 121 degrees. California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico are all higher. Texas and Oklahoma is lower - I would never have guessed this one right.

No mountains here. I'm on the great plains at an elevation of 6700 feet.

A similar wild drop happened near Payson, Utah when we were kids.

It happened when we kids were off to shoot bullfrogs on a pond.

One dope cracked a stick on our approach and every one of those hundreds of frogs lept for the pond at once.

At that instant, the temperature fell to way below zero. And all those frogs found themselves frozen vertically half out of the pond.

We ran and fetched a dozen lawnmowers, pushed them over the pond, and came home with a couple freezers-full of legs.
