Or do you no longer believe in "truth"?

In hindsight I don't think I ever gave any thought as to whether I believed in anything to do with JS. I just didn't care about it. It wasn't required reading in our family home so I never read scripture.

For me belief is irrelevant when it comes to truth. If there is verifiable evidence and established facts, you have truth.

Religious “truth” usually has little (if any) supporting evidence.

Truth carries to much baggage to be useful. It's so vague and broad as a term you could agree in conversation about it but actually disagree about what's true which isn't useful.

I focus on repeatable, demonstrable, actionable, evidence.

The Brutality of truth
Truth is brutal. It is non-compromising to circumstance. It is what it is and not what we may want it to be. It will withstand scrutiny. Truth is devastating to the liar. They can be called to account for their lies and will almost a;ways become belligerent and violent when exposed. However truth will not be thwarted. It will force it's way to the fore and demand attention.

As brutal as a mother's kiss, or a father's blessing?

I am somewhat confused. Can you clarify your statement?

Apparently (and wisely) you treated my questions as statements.

You stated that Truth is brutal. Looking up 'brutal' in the dictionary allowed me to postulate that your statement was 'wrong', in that I decided your definition was too restrictive.

It's simply my opinion that Truth may be brutal, but a great many Truths are soft and cuddly.

Is this thread as banal as it seems ?

It's right up there with the Panama Banal, relatively constrained, but useful.

Yes it is, but consider the source.

My answer: that which is in accordance with fact or reality.

No but your response is more banal than the question.
Try answering the question, for once.

For me, it's that which consistently works.

Mormonism didn't work. All the prayers and fasting, all the scripture study, all the testifying, all the commandment keeping, all the obedience didn't bring blessings or True Happiness®. It made me miserable. And it probably caused me to make some other people miserable.

I NEVER believed in Joseph's Myth, or anyone else's either.

No Longer Believe in Truth? No. On the contrary, it's all I believe in.

What is truth?

We
Love
Truth
Freedom
Happiness

Truth is smiling All Day Long
