The missing step in the process

It seems to me that there's a major step missing from the actions of most who leave the organization: Demanding your money back.

Well, you could also ask for another shot at losing your 'moral purity' sooner than you actually did because of the church's "sin next to murder" bullschizz...

The church is quite adamant at no refunds. Their true leaders. The lawyers. Make it clear on their donation slip they can spend the money as they please and they'll argue in court if needed to keep the cash.
