So I'm laying in bed last night and I have this random thought pop into my head: If the Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead, why isn't it/he/she represented in the temple ceremony/film?

I mean, we have Peter, James and John, Michael/Adam, Satan, we used to have a generic christian priest and of course Elohim and his identical twin son Jehovah/Jesus. So why isn't the Holy Ghost ever present when Peter is doing his facetime with Heavenly Father and Heavenly unborn son? I mean, Jehovah is still a spirit right because he isn't born and the Holy Ghost is a spirit, right? So why isn't there a shimmering personage standing with Elohim and Jehovah/Jesus?

Well, since Satan runs the show, he probably told everyone that the HG would not be making an appearance. :)

Surely some similar phenomenon keeps HG of LSD from appearing in the film. ;)

The Holy Ghost is needed when no one else is around. As Elohim keeps popping in and Peter James and John and Michael/Adam keep reporting back with color coded charts, there is plenty of Celestial representation and a go between like HG is unnecessary.

Well, sort of unnecessary. The Endowment in my day had such a clueless Elohim that kept asking the Methodist Minister representing Satan what was going on, that, Elohim could have used the Holy Ghost himself whispering into his omniscient-challenged ear.

What if it is impossible to "feel the spirit" in the temple because the other talking heads are there? Maybe that is why it isn't there. Can't be three in one place?

For instance, there is absolutely NO difference between purchasing and then having a movie ticket which allows a person to view a certain movie at a set time when the movie is played at a certain set location and only in that set specified
one time instance versus having ownership of a playable and re playable media copy of a specific video which can then be played and replayed at any time according to the video owner's prerogative. ......just like there is ABSOLUTELY NO difference between paying bus fare and then riding on the bus on a set route versus owning an automobile that can be driven anywhere anytime that the owner feels like it.
