I think she interacts with several RfM regulars on facebook, but she was not happy about something here when she last posted. I don't expect her to be back anytime soon, and I too hope that all is well with her.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that she returns some time in the future.

Her experiences with a gay spouse has been helpful for many.

And revealing to many others. It's not a problem I had thought about before coming here and reading her posts. Please tell her she is missed.

Tom, I have told her that. She is fine. She's taking a break from RfM right now.

Her decision - and one we can all understand. Lockdown has had a claustrophobifying effect. All my love to her.

That is one of the best expressions I have come across in all the decades that have passed since last February. I have felt lost, lonely, depressed, isolated, frustrated, bored, scared, and a lot of other negative stuff since the world has been on lockdown.

It's kind of like those old-timey daredevils who would rig a 2" by 4" board between two buildings in New York, about 25 stories from the ground, and then walk on the 2" side of the span. The gutsier ones would do it without a balance beam. One misstep, and you are Manhattan roadkill.

That's how daily life has felt to me since the pandemic took over. A single mistake can kill you - and maybe additional loved ones, as well. It's not like we have erasers or White-Out. Errors can kill you. A simple misjudgment, and you're toast.

Claustrophobia,indeed.

Pandemic fatigue. I feel it every day. Recognizing it for what it
is helps deal with it. So does coming here. Lots.

RfM is needed (as was Mrs. Peel)

"A gay spouse" in the Mormon Church, let us not forget. At the insistence of the Mormon Church, as cl2 has related.

They have a lot to answer for. In many ways.

As many here through the years have expressed.

It's likely too much to hope for that the leaders will come to find out how misguided they have been. Or at least that their stiff and ancient attitudes will get with this century.
