Yesterday, on the local news, there was a report on a Sandy neighborhood who shows support for the LGBTQ Community by displaying Pride Flags in their front yards.

A few days later, an anonymous letter was put in the mailboxes throughout their neighborhood.

The anonymous busybody was asking supporters if flying Pride Flags was "consistent" with the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

To that, I will say a resounding NO!

The flags represent unity, pride, strength, love, acceptance and compassion. The "church" teaches the exact opposite.

So glad to be resigned from TSCC.

Coming to a magazine article interviewing the LDS prophet in a few years:

"I don't know that we taught that. We have always been accepting of our LGBTQ brothers and sisters. In fact, we were instrumental in helping them gain equality."

They'll say it with a straight face. The members will nod approvingly.

They way they handle things is so Orwellian and predictable.

"That was then, this is now!"

--God, who is the same yesterday, today and forever!

I'd say one of the biggest hangups in the long debate about lgbtq movement, is the concept of Pride. Mormons believe in the other 5 attribute listed above, just not Pride. They connotate it with childish arrogance.

If that is the case, then why did the LDS organizers of the Days of 47 parade routinely reject an entry from the LGBT-supporting group Mormons Building Bridges. The dread word "Pride" did not appear in their title.

I saw a copy of the letter sent out in Sandy. It was extremely sanctimonious, and basically threatened people's temple recommends if they flew the pride flags.

This was not about opposing "childish arrogance".
