Bart Ehrman on Heaven and Hell

Bart D. Ehrman is a scholar of the New Testament and early Christianity who has been mentioned from time to time in discussions on this forum. He teaches at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His most recent book is titled *Heaven and Hell: A History of the Afterlife.* I haven't yet read it but he has a number of lectures and interviews on the topic on youtube. Here is a link to a very short video in which he presents five main points from his book. Of course, one would have to watch his lectures and interviews or read the book to see what evidence and reasoning brought him to these conclusions.

Ehrman is always worth reading/watching. He's not as strictly academic as he once was, but he is informed and serious.
