My favorite Sean Connery movie is "Name Of The Rose".

What's your favorite ?

Let the flaming begin.

If anyone says Zardoz I will lose all respect for them.

I always thought Zardoz would be a good film for folks studying statistics; they could observe and calculate the average amount of times viewers say "What the Hell?"

The Man Who Would Be King, but Caine was better.

I haven't seen them all.

I loved his pearl earring in "Highlander."

There can only be one.

The 1st Highlander was awesome!

He was good in The Untouchables.

Didn’t he play Indiana Jones’ dad?

Yup!

Yup! But Kevin Costner :(

Yup!

They waited so long to make the Highlander sequel — no rush back to the box office — that I was sure it’d be awesome, but not so much...

And, yeah, Costner... not so much either (IMO).

A believable plot with a credible hero with realistic technology. The more megalomaniacal the heroes, the more farfetched the plots. the more outlandish the gadgets. Worst of all: Moonraker.

Except that Moonraker was not a Connery movie. And I agree that it was idiotic.

Agree. The Sean Connery Bond films were great, Roger Moore Bond not so much.

Though "The Man with the Golden Gun" is worth watching just for Christopher Lee.

The one where he played Han Solo's dad!

No, no, no. Han Solo's dad was an elegant Latino gentleman who wore a sombrero and ate at Chevy's.

The Rock....something about doing something to the Prom Queen I think....

Untouchables was the best...he won an Oscar for it!

"Thunderball."

One of my two, all-time favorite, films. (The other is "Day of the Jackal")

I understand the negative critical reviews "Thunderball" received (and I don't necessarily disagree with the points those critics made), but in the case of each film, there is something compelling in those films that connects with something deep inside of me--and I don't ever get tired of seeing/hearing them.

Ah yes, classic Frederick Forsyth. Day of the Jackal, Odessa File, Dogs of War: interesting, international before international had grown tedious.

Good book, good movie.

He will always be "Bond." I mean that in a good way. 100% handsome--with or without a toupe--but I never loved the character.

I liked all the Bond movies. The first four were the best. After I grew up into women's rights, Bond's treatment of women became very off-putting.

Ah, the end of an era, hopefully.

Rising Sun... but I live in Japan and can see through all its orientalism. (Wesley Snipes: "Sempai--that wouldn't mean 'Massah,' would it?)

Finding Forrester. Connery gives the oft told crusty mentor story a depth you could slice and sell. Not a Bond film.

Saw a cool FB meme that said:

Sean Connery died on 10/31/20

1 + 0 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 0 = 007

Silly numerology, but kinda cool!
