Women, and dealing with them, is something I readily admit I think I know, but can't be certain I know I know.

Same with religious people. Having kinda, sorta been one, I feel I have a grasp on the concept, but they (the genuinely religious) still surprise me.

I'm iffy on the issues of "know thyself" and "to thine own self be true". The current of my life has slowed considerably and the shore is passing very slowly, and the views are nice, for which I thank many of you. To mangle a phrase, hard people are good to find.

Back to the original topic: There is very little that I know I know. But I don't mind. I don't have to be "right" to do right.

Primum non nocere

At my age I try everyday to understand how people can overlook the concept original sin.

Learning about family systems, knowing the game through life experience. People do strange stuff that is hard to understand.

The norm is a Public mask. Goal is to hide shortcomings and misery. Seen all the crap. Kids being conditioned to ape after dysfunctional parents. That is original sin.

I know this. The fall is with us everywhere.

II don't know what I don't know. And, what I do know is suspect although I defend it with formidable surety. Learnt from being Mormon? OR from being human? What else you gonna do? That may be wrong, but . . . you never know.

At my age I'm not sure knowing even matters anymore. I do wish, though, that I knew what I know now sooner.

Now, as to "don't have be right to do right." Hmmmnnnn. I tend to do right which is often accomplished by taking the high road to get there and then I don't know if I did the right thing or not because something seems "off" with the high road.

Primum non nocere is nice, but I'm more Ut Fix Nocere cuz sometimes I'm like a bull in a china shop.

Many of us probably become better as we age and so we've collectively helped the human race evolve from just another great ape.

That was like the sequel to Who's on first.

Rumsfeld knows his knows---as far as we know.

It's not hard to do right
But much harder to do left

Knowing isn't as important as being.
My job is to be me. And be free!

I know, I know-
What do I know?

My Dad said, "Son. Never explain yourself to anyone."

He never did tell me why.

It's extremely important that you fully understand how completely trivial that statement is.

It has a poetic completeness to it which is very pleasing: it is totally self-contained ;-)

I shall be quoting it.

It sounds to me a lot like Oaks's "Jesus never apologizes" and Trump's version of the same thing.

Never retreat, never apologize, never explain.

It can lead to ignorance or wisdom. Depends on where you find your bliss.

Do you need to know?

If you know, what good is it?

If you don’t know, is your life not worthwhile?

Boredom, restlessness and feelings of not being on the cutting edge of society creates this ‘need to know’.

The reality is - “It just doesn’t matter” - Bill Murray (Meatballs)

How did Bill Murray avoid taking the next step: Nothing Matters?

“Nothing matters”, implies that the word or concept of nothing is something that matters, which leads us to why? Because “it just doesn’t matter”...

So, on a scale of .01 equals the Solar System, .1 equals the Milky Way galaxie (I had a 1960 Galaxie!) and 1.0 equals the Universe...

Are humans effects with no cause?

or are humans causes with no effects?

And where does Sigma fit it into all this?

Hmmph. Your ‘60 Galaxie trumps my ‘59 Galaxie...

Humans on your scale (based on their position in the XYZ graph) assign a value of +10 in terms of effect/cause/ego as values for X, Y and Z.

Cosmically, the universe endlessly snickers and sometimes guffaws at that premise.
