Whether or not I believe masking to be effective, where they are legally and lawfully mandated I will comply.
I believe that it is the obligation of every citizen to do so.

I think that following the law is important in this regard. But I also see mask wearing as a common courtesy to our fellow citizens. It protects you some, but it protects them more. If we all wear masks, we will all be greatly protected together.

Sometimes people need to pitch in and do the right thing for the common good. It would be nice if working together for the common good did not always have to be mandated by law, but evidently in these times, with selfishness rampant, it does.

It's more about understanding the most rudimentary facts about transmission of respiratory particles: barriers and space. A mask is a barrier- any is better than none. Social distancing is to maintain space. The more space, the less transmission.

It has nothing to do with "belief" but I'm glad to know you are willing to follow the laws at least. A lot of mask-holes can't even do that much.
