Former Leura (NSW-Aus.) Bishop charged today

Nicholas Pierre Faivre, the former bishop of the Leura Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints (sic), had his Blue Mountains home raided by the Federal Police on Monday. - https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9137059/Nicolas-Pierre-Faivre-charged-alleged-sexually-explicit-messages-child.html

Charged today (Tuesday Aus. time) with two counts of 'transmit indecent communications' to a minor. Looks like our (Aus) Feds were tipped off by the United States National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children in September 2020 which started investigations here. Looks like this ex-Bishop had been interviewed in the past on the church. I'm in Melbourne so not heard of this guy before.

They place so much faith in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Many of us on this board have learned, sometimes painfully, that such hopes simply do not work.

Why is it Mormon bishops seem to have a high percentage of this? Hmmmm. Underaged interviews....
