Trump is the RINO. The party existed before him; it had an ideology before him. He took over and transformed the party into a cult of personality with no respect for the old platform and the old policies. Indeed, in this last election the party had no platform at all, nothing but "our policies are whatever Dear Leader says they are."

Yes, kind of like "New Atheists" There's nothing "New" about atheism. Just as there's nothing "New" about "MORmONs" and there's certainly no "New Order". Same old MORmONs pretending to be 'intellectual' under the cover of anonymity the internet provides, while legitimizing the same old patriarchal, white supremacist, homophobic 'order' (group thinking hierarchical caste system) by not resigning in protest.

The church killed the NOM movement when it excommunicated Kate Kelly, John Dehlin and the others. There was no room left for the third-way-ers, so they basically fell away.
Mormonism is now purer, more regimented, and far less attractive.
There used to be a whole NOM forum that I participated on once in a while but I haven't seen it in a few years and have no idea how they're going along or not.
There's also a group that seems to split the difference between NOM and TBM over at forum.staylds.com. They are much more circumspect in their critique of the church leadership and only slightly ornery but in a polite way about various teachings.
Looks like I jumped the gun ... staylds has a recent thread entitled "Is StayLDS at its end of life?" where some seem to lament that they have just become isolated and gradually drifted away altogether
