I am so old I still have some E Tickets :) I used to love to hang out there as a kid. It was not much to get in, I took my lunch and a book. I would hang out on the island. The fort had the best HUGE pickles.

I had A thru E tickets left over after the Senior Trip there, May of 1962. We got on the bus after the Sadie Hawkins dance, drove all night from Las Vegas to Anaheim, got off the bus, ran wild through the par,k then when the park closed, got back on the bus, and were officially branded as adults, ripe for the Draft. Good thing I didn't turn 18 till the following year!

I'm so old I remember going on the burro (pack mule) ride, where Thunder Mountain (IIRC) is now. Nothing like watching the burro in front of you take a big ol' dump on the trail. <splat>

I was seriously bummed when they replaced Voyage Through Inner Space with Stupid Captain EO.

And when they took out Carousel of Progress (with that awesome room-size miniature city at the end) and moved it to Florida. I went on that so many times I still have its lyrics in my head.

The Tom Sawyer Island caverns were the Disneyland go-to spot for making out. So many hidden nooks and crannies…

I was at Disneyland in 1967 and 1969. I was 8 and 10 years old. Went through Adventure Through Inner-space both times. That ride was so intriguing, especially the second time with Land of the Giants on TV. I thought it was so cool to be shrunk, and being looked at by that giant scientist guy's eye in the microscope was VERY cool.

Went first in 1959 when it was almost new then again in 1976 with my wife. Was as magical and clean the second time as the first.
