The SLTribune and specifically Peggy Fletcher Stack, has brought something to the front page and top of the fold a report about this platform called #DezNat. I have not heard of this before. I possibly have family members both close and distant who would think this is all fine and dandy.

Oh, wow. Stack is trying to distance this movement from the alt-right QAnon crowd, but I'm not sure she can do that.

Interesting comment if you read far enough - This church, its culture, that is predicated on ignorance, authority and tribalism is out of control and it's dangerous.

How I see it is Mormonism is a perfect fit for the alt-right group....members have been primed since they were in the nursery to believe they were God's chosen inheritors of God's chosen spot ,America. Plus, racism is built into the Book of Mormon and the Church's history and no matter what measly measures they take to disavow it, it is alive and well. Plus again, there are those pesty guns which kill others, you know that right, that privilege to take out anyone who deserves it by driving you time and time again out of "your" land, daring to oppose your desire to write your own rules and be the King of America. Oh you say, "Now that was way back with Joe Smith". I disagree....he is alive and calling the shots (deadly, evil shots).

Mormons. A Peaceful people since the beginning? Yeh, right.

These buffoons have been around awhile and been discussed on RfM before. They're keyboard warriors who talk tough but mostly make fools of themselves. It's mormons like the deznatters who scare and intimidate the church into taking no action against the Bundyites. As more rational, moderate mormons leave the fold, the church's loco wing will be increasingly reflected among the ones remaining.
