Marion Stricker, author of “The Pattern of the Double-Bind in Mormonism” passed away in 2019. Her book was inspired by the exmormon.org board and is featured in HTML format on the home page.

It is hoped that her voice will not be silenced. For any who are interested, please share the book, the link to it, and her presentation of the Mormon predicament.

How does one get around the copyright thing?

I inherited the copyright. It is now distributed through a creative commons license: you are free to copy and print without cost (but not free to alter the content).

You can download it and print it yourself if you want. You can print it at office depot, or your public library.

Marion Stricker's contribution to this site was enormous. It has helped thousands understand the double-bind. She sent me a signed print copy. She was living in Mexico when she wrote the book. It was a totally selfless endeavor. I had not heard from her in years and hope she was happy and content.
