Ten minutes, if you play your cards right. Or wrong. Whatever.

You know, you could have lied! It's not like I would have called you on it...

Given your present age, Methuselah, you should have 69 or so years left.

Just trying to give you a little shot of adrenaline. :)

That's better than the adroolanine being dispensed by Sis. Lott.

Or like when Armand Hammer rushed to his doctor's office with the news that he felt he was dying. Doc, what's wrong?

I'm sorry Armie, but you've only three minutes to live.

But doctor! What can you do?

I can boil you an egg.

Pisces, Year of the (old)Dog.

Oh, wait ... that wasn't your question.

Last list I saw ranked the US 35th among countries for life expectancy.

Yes. That's what you get when you run an opulent country with only Third-World healthcare and distributional characteristics. And now it will get even worse as God exacts vengeance for Americans' having rejected The One True Presidential Candidate.

At this rate, US life expectancy will soon fall as low as in Japan and Scandinavia.

Not sure what to make of your last sentence. The list I referenced had Japan top.

That was irony, my friend.

It might be better if I labeled my attempts at humor, but I do like living dangerously.

I usually do well with irony, but that was far too subtle for me.

"Subtle" is a kinder word than some might employ.

I thin k irony was invented so Brits could have a sense of humor.

No humor please, we're British?

I've not heard that but some years ago there was a West End show entitled No Sex Please, We're British.

I really don't know what to expect
Of course I've only been on this planet 85years so I guess I have a ways to go

At what age is one told that one has no further 'life expectancy', that one is "off the charts"?

Such a determination would be useful, like say in a civil wrongful death case, where life expectancy is a mathematical tool used to calculate the value of having someone's life 'cut short', to the detriment of the person bringing the lawsuit.

What if someone in DesertRat's position was the victim of an Amazon delivery truck driver's negligence? At age 85 would that be considered a 'free-be' for Amazon?

Might not Amazon's defense team be tempted to demand payment from his family?

And whatever happened to the government Death Panels?

Finally, at age 115, males and females have identical life expectancy! From 115 to 119, it's acknowledged they can live a bit longer. At age 120 and beyond, you're statistically dead...

And this the church writes you off. That makes statistical sense now.

I wonder how many dead people are still counted as part of the 16 million members of the mormon chrunch?

Instead of "life expectancy" I prefer "wind up the scene". :-)

If you're worried about dying soon, join the Mormon Church.
You won't live any longer but it'll sure as heck seem like it.

I'm 72 so I'm probably at the every year is a gift stage or close to it

I'm 70 and I'm hoping for at least another 20 or so years. I'm nowhere near thinking every year now is a gift. Still way too much living to do.

Females on my Mum's side of the family usually live well into their nineties so my fingers are crossed.

People with an agenda last longer. I'm in volume 2 of a trilogy I'm writing, and I just bought a farm. No, I didn't "buy the farm"--I literally bought a farm, with my son. Now we have to learn beekeeping, agronomy, and get old buildings renovated.

My brother sits around the house, waits for his social security check, and watches CNN all day. His mind, obviously, is going, and I fear for his health.

My parents both died at age 76. I keep planning on living longer as I think my kids need me around longer than another 13 years, but I don't work very hard at it given I have certain health problems that I don't work at improving. Though an aunt of mine who everyone thought would die first died 2 years ago at age 91. She was the LAST relative I had expected to live to 91.

I'll for sure be getting the vaccination as soon as they open it up for those with uncontrolled diabetes. That should be in less than a week.
