The 2020 April Drool's conference said that at the end of 2019

membership:          16,565,039
infants hijacked:        94,266
Gullibles ingested:     248,835


So the total at the end of 2020 was 16,663,663
while the total at the end of 2019  16,565,039

             Which is an increase of    98,624

But if 65,440 kids were added, along with 125,930 converts, which totals, using Mexican arithmetic, 191,370, which added to last year's total, comes to 16,756,406.

Are they finally saying that they LOST 92,743? Probably just the deceased of record and the 111-year-olds...

The lost are 94% of the increase.

The actual increase in membership for last year was 0.6%.

The most interesting number isn't in that report.
According to Gong/Ballard, over half of the adults in the church are single (never married, widowed, or divorced).
That explains the change in the CHI allowing single adults access to more leadership positions.

I would expect a lot of single older women, since the men tend to marry younger women, and the men die younger than the women as well.

I would not expect over half the adult members to be single. That is a bit of a surprise. I would love to know what the churn rate (% who enter or leave) is for YSA each year.
