James Huntsman files lawsuit accusing Latter-day Saint Church of fraud

James Huntsman says the church spent tithes from members on commercial interests instead of charity, as it was intended.

"This is not a case about faith; it is a case about fraud and corporate greed," the lawsuit reads.

The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and first reported by the Washington Post.

But if you have knowledge of their greed, is it still faith?

Although I tend to agree With him I point out that on the tithing slip it clearly state that although "they" will try to apply the money as directed once you donate it it is theirs to do with as they please!!

I hope he’s a billionaire. And I hope he wins his tithing back.

If he is suing for $5 million, that would be tithing on $50 million. That is a very very long way from a billion.

Jon Sr was a billionaire. When the estate got parceled out, it is very unlikely that any of the individual recipients got a billion. Jon Sr didn't have that many billions. He wasn't another Jeff Bezos.

I hope the jury makes him a billionaire.
Take 1% of the CULT's slush fund for Jesus and give it to Jim Bob for pain and suffering, then dish out the rest of it to everybody who's paid into this frudulent abusive CULT!

I was kidding, but I have no idea if he's a billionaire. I just heard about the guy today, when I read the headline about him. I don't know that much about the Huntsman family, other than the fact the old man is a philanthropist and his son Jon was governor of UT and he's got a couple of daughters and he's more Buddhist than he is Mormon.
Sounds like my kind of guy.
I hope everybody sues the shit out of this abusive CULT for back tithing and I hope they win and the jury punishes them into oblivion, like it did the RC church in America over sex abuse. The MORmON CULT has a worse child rape problem than the Catholic Church in my experience.
