Every member a janitor and we would get signed up every couple of months to clean the church building. The building that I went to was quite dusty because no deep cleaning had been done in a while. Anyway I saw this video of team cleaning and wow those people are cleaning even the wheels.https://youtu.be/TBPavCD2xxs

Who's moving back in with Mom and Dad for a while while she engineers a career change. A real neatnik! Like it or not, Old Caffiend is getting de-cluttered.

Not paying custodians allows the corporation to use donated funds for good...or to continue to build up an awesome slush fund worth Billion$.

The janitorial jobs used to support one or two families per building.

If this isn't outright greed, There is no such thing.

Two things that hasn't been mentioned here:

Governments & schools employ janitors & custodians too; a stint as a church employee can give training & experience to boost a better job.

church people talk about 'the dignity of working'... How about the shoe on the other foot?

Unfortunately, some church paid employees took these positions as thinking they 'couldn't' be disciplined. There was one such case in the Redmond, WA stake where a supervisor was very abusive to subordinates & responsibility to him was rare/delayed hurting the employees. There should be accountability - responsibility in all cases - situations.

GA's would find much greater acceptance if they would show up at various Wards on occasional Saturdays and take part in the cleaning efforts.

The boost to morale would be a lot more than all the faith fake stories around.

Lead by example - somehow I don't think it will happen.

Some people know how to clean. Others don't, and/or don't care.

People clean the 'church' and the 'church' cleans the people's clocks.

I'd rather be in a world of clean than on that horror show like Hoarders.
