Okay, maybe they didn't go away, but for the first time since I moved to New England, I saw Mormon missionaries in my town!

We were out walking, when we saw them standing on a porch a few houses away from the corner we had just rounded. I said a few loud sentences with the word "elders" in them, but I guess they were too far away to hear.

I guess that the pandemic restrictions on knocking doors must have been lifted.

I see them here occasionally....just walking...never approaching a door. Maybe not this week though. Gonna be in the 90's all week.

I see them riding their bikes all over town.

I never see any at the golf course!

Is there something in the scriptures about golfers?

Golfers were way down on the end of the fence that blacks were sitting on in the war in heaven. They were so concerned about how to "keep score" in life so they could look cool and important that they were cursed to play the game in life and forever be disappointed by their performance on the course.

Many of the passages in the BOM that have the word "Lamanites" in them used to say "Lamanites and golfers" but that changed in subsequent editions due to the heavy influx of Scottish folks into the church in the 1800's.....who were also white.

Just this morning I thought I saw the Destoyer riding on the waters. Turned out it was just a golfer in plaid pants and a striped shirt trying to fish his ball out of the pond.

Golfers....always playing with their balls.

Where else but golf courses have hand-cranked ball washers?

Other than my house?

But then I do have two scuffle hoes.

They may be hand cranked....but they work so well !! I’d use them more.....but it kinda hurts.

I've seen 3 sets of LDS missionaries out and about town. Also I've seen Baptists going up and down the street putting pamphlets on doors. It's a zillion degrees outside. Out of all the problems in the world, they are out proselytizing. Imagine if people spent as much time worrying about this life as they do brown nosing for the next.

I always offer water, just being civil, and get the inevitable

"Have you heard anything about the Mormon church?"
"I know more than both of you combined."
"Oh! What have you heard?"

Entertainment begins after that.
