It's the same outrage posturing that i hate about social media. People now week to outrage rather than engage. Outrage generates more views and likes.

and just doing nothing.

That's what *some* people are doing now.

They just throw up their hands and say, "Well, I guess it's just God's will" or they pretend that things like the virus and anthropogenic global heating are either false or not serious enough to worry about.

You *do* have a choice.

You can decide to try and do something to stop the spread of the virus -- like get vaccinated and wear a mask -- or you can listen to religious nutcases, con artists, or conspiracy theorists and take horse medicine, bathe in sheep dip, drink Clorox, or put scrap metal on your head to see if you're magnetic.

You can scream all you want about how "eco-billionaires" have created this "climate chage hoax" while your house is burning down or your town is flooded -- or you can try to do something about it.

You can lay dying in the ICU and tell the doctor that the virus isn't real and it's just a plot by "international finance" to wreck the economy and take your job if you want -- or you can try to do something about it before that happens.

The decision rests with you.

I find the "Putting Everyone in their Place" threads are much more annoying than any "sky is falling" threads. And they smell even more "el de es".

When Jesus said “let the dead bury the dead,” was his meaning not that his followers should focus on the well-being of the living?

If you still want to have faith and believe in God after you resign from the Mormon church, you can. Just remember these three rules.

1.) God is not a Mormon.
2.) Mormonism is a dead-end road.
3.) There are no rules as to what your belief system should look like. You can create it from scratch if you want to, or join another church if you want to. You are free.

If they tell you that "we're not Mormons anymore, we're members of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints", just tell them, "your organization has burned too many bridges to ever be taken seriously".

I think a better answer to "we're not Mormons anymore" is "Good luck with that." Leopards and spots.

A good response to ‘we’re not Mormon anymore!’ Is,

“Oh so you’re an ExMormon? Congratulations! So am I!”
