I don't watch the BYU channel...but I scroll past it to get to the R rated movies of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc. It's just below those so I see the content.

I took a look today. Nothing but bland, G rated material. Highway to Heaven repeats and so forth. But 5:00am - 7:00am devotionals. I remember seeing the content several years ago and it was 90% explicit Mormon.

I'm thinking they are trying to appeal to the "other" with mainstream content, hoping said other will believe it's an approachable religion. For parents getting kids ready to seminary, here's your heroin.

Just delete it out of your TV's station programming. You won't even have to ignore it. It's just gone.

I would if I could...and I'll investigate. But I think that I need to select all "preferred" or "selected" channels, which means selecting all except that one.

It doesn't trigger or bother me to see it. It's there, like CBN, and I simply ignore it.

Regarding the Highway to Heaven tv show.

As a young man I once admitted during Sunday School that I watched it during its original run on NBC (my tv antennae only picked up a few channels back then).

I was told that it was a horrible program because it used clever deception just like Stan. It appeared to be "wholesome" but was in fact causing people to follow the devil.

What did leaders have against the Michael Landon show?

-Angels/people doing the Lord's work without the church.

-Swearing (damn/hell are horrible word to Mormons)

-People being happy without the church

-Smoking

-Coffee

I just want to call out the hypocrisy and hold the church and its leaders to their actions and words.

Those words are only bad in America.

The irony being that it was all filmed around SLC.

Sometimes it really depresses me that Michael Landon (born Eugene Maurice Orowitz) chose a pseudonym including my own surname...

I was in a place where I wanted to watch tv and not commercials. It was at least relatively commercial free without too much propaganda.
